Where I'm From
I am from cool summer nights spent under a full moon
and the hot summer days beneath the blue sky.
I am from the peaceful waves that crashed softly against the shore
and the humming winds that whipped through the forest.
I belong to the laughter that echoed through the meadows
and skidded across the smooth surface of the calm, blue waters.
I belong to the warm, glowing rays that beamed down from the sun
and the soft glimmer of the moon amongst the sea of stars.
I exist in the sweetest of newly found mornings
and can be found seeking the adventure of a new day.
I exist in the darkest of nights
and thrive from the radiance of the moonlight.
I remain in the waves of the pure ocean
and venture through the sun-kissed sands of time.
I remain out of sight from those who do not dream
and chase the unknown that most cannot see.
