The Shelf

One day I'm myself-
Funny and bright,
The next I'm on a shelf
Isolated without sight-
Of everything I think
Is important to me,
But in my thoughts-I sink.
Should I just let it be?
It's so lonely and gloom.
It captures my heart,
So I face my doom.
And I shall part-
Not from the world,
But only myself-
"Goodbye Dreamworld"
As I fall off the shelf.
