and to never forget the holy book…
Doubtful in a higher power, but drawn back
Remembering the brisk wind of November 9, 2013
Laying as if I was paralyzed, wheeled into that deafening noise box

Mom entertaining
Burning pumpkin spice candles and fresh baked cookies…
Memories of extraordinary vacations
Laying in the rays absorbing the heat
Scorching sand in between my toes--bitter to go home
I am from bright blue eyes and towering blonde hair
Mom saying, “you're beautiful just the way you are”
As a teen, ignoring and constantly wanting change...
Can’t forget that wedding bash introducing a new Berg
From Kate and Jake to Ma and Pa renewing their vows
Holding family close to the heart--welcoming in and saying goodbye
I am from rowdy giggles, warming smiles, and obnoxious laughs
Mom taught to mind my p’s and q’s
and to never forget the holy book…
