Rain on the window
Reminds me of tears rolling
From our souls to the ends of our bodies.
How much heartbreak
Did the raindrop experience
In its temporary existence?
When water on the glass,
Runs two separate paths–
When it drip, drip, drips,
Only to pool underfoot–
Does it hurt?
Can you feel the lives of all the little raindrops
On your mortal skin?
