drape your arms across my spine
let your hands cross my ribs
like velvet curtains
engulfing
trying to protect
a secret locked chamber within
hold me when I hurt the most
unlock me

set
me
free.

This piece is one from my most recent poetry collection entitled "Thoughts as I Lie Dreaming", and is one of my favourites as it happens to express the comfort in trusting another person with their most private selves without barriers, and is something all should experience at one point in their lives.
