The Alcoholic and the Plastic Bag
She grabs her only release
Desperately chugging the bitter liquid
Floating away from this harsh world
Whisking her away into her own dreamland
The blaring noise of people's car horns
The yelling and shouting of angry drivers
All fading into the background
As the pleasant sensation takes over
Tears pool in her eyes
She knows eventually she will have to come down and face reality
It lies in the filthy abandon parking lot
Surrounded by trash
Until the biting wind flings it into the air
Violently throwing and pulling it in every direction
Till it calms
Gently drifting with the breeze
Catching soft gusts of air
Slowly floating back to the crowded city
Settling on the dirty grounds to be forgotten again
