The picture in the frame
Felt you stood beside me
Right after I closed my eyes
For a moment
You were right there
I greeted you
With a smile
A fear of losing you
Crept again in my mind
I fought against it
Speaking your name
I opened my eyes
Wanting to see you
Found nothing but a
“Picture in the frame”
I cried, “Life is unfair with me”
Every time I try to be strong
I end up on my knees
Tired of finding
Someone to blame
My irresistible tears
Roll out of my eyes
I told myself
It’s my destiny
I put my head down
With guilt and shame
I’d ask you for help
Found nothing but a
“Picture in the frame”
Colours of my life
Are now fading
As life is never going
To be the same
If you were here
To see my suffering
I bet it must have
Torn your heart apart
Knowing that I lost you
I still wish to see you
What would I not owe
To see you again just
Not as a “Picture in the Frame”
