Foreign
When I saw the look you gave me from across the room,
There seemed to be no hesitation,
No looking away.
Our eyes met,
Then became foreign.
It was only for a few seconds
But time seemed to be endless…
My eyes craved your sweet gaze once more.
And with that thought,
It appeared that you read me from a distance.
Our eyes met again,
With the same ecstasy,
Arousing feelings within me just like the first time,
And just like that,
We were foreign once more.
But with a smile spreading across my burning face,
I thought nothing of it,
Only of the perfection,
That I seemed to admire in someone,
Who spoke to me,
With only a stare.
