We call love
there is something out there
which shines as bright as the stars
but is darker than the blackest shadow
it is as loud as a roaring lion
but as quiet as a whisper in the desert
grander than the tallest mountain
yet smaller than a speck of dust
it is as beautiful as colorful sunrise
but uglier than the touch of death
older than the planet earth
and newer than an infant
Faster than the speed of light
but slower than the changing seasons
wilder than the storming seas
yet calmer than a glassy river
more fragile than shimmering glass
but stronger than a whirling tornado
It is which we call love
