"Love Story Crime"
My heart's beating to the crazed movement of a hummingbird's wings,
Flying around in its little cage,
Every time your name appears on my notebook page.
Is this a hopeless tragedy?
Or the wackiest love story?
Even Shakespeare has to admit it.
Your voice snatches the air from my lungs, and makes them embark on a journey to get it back.
Those eyes of yours make the bones beside my muscles feel like jello, as you lead me through the uncharted grove of emotional confusion.
The blood that gushes through my aorta, to the tippy-toes of my capillaries, delivers a blotchy red blush, right on que, as we fight with our minds on what to do.
But wait!
Now we've turned our backs on each other.
Oh no- Is this our tragic fate?
Is this the end to Romeo and Juliet Take Two?
Noooo, it can't be!
Because those quick hands of yours enclosed around the little fluttering bird,
And your silent feet ran away with it,
Even before I could scream, "He stole it! He stole my heart!"
