Those eyes
(oh how they glow like warning flares
in the dead of night)
cut me deeper than
any blade can
(and I let you
carve me until these sheets
are scarlet)
And those lips
(such stubborn gate keepers)
offer me no
comfort

they fill my veins with
lightning
