Exceptional
She is exceptionally beautiful
like a lily on a shimmering spring day.
She shines kindness
like the star Acamar.
But she is imperfectly
perfect like a raw diamond.
She lifts my spirits when I am
feeling down from my day.
I spend every waking moment
wanting to see her.
She never lets me down.
Her hair flows in the wind
so softly,
like the leaves in autumn.
She’s independent and
strong, like lady liberty.
She never skips a beat,
unlike my heart when I see her.
She is always on my mind
as if she were a song stuck in my head.
The way the sunlight shines
in her bright blue eyes
no one can help but fall in love.
