mind palace

Peace does not exist
beyond the palace
i call my mind
and even then
there is war.
and even when
the walls are closed shut,
they seem to slip out,
escape.
spreading bloodshed
constructing war to unfurl.
But,
inside these cages,
the cage that bound them.
they begin to brawl.
continuously eating away at eachother.
for there is no peace without war,
and war opposes peace.
because peace does not exist
beyond the palace
i call my mind
and even then,
there is war.
