Prince Charming
If Prince Charming was real
He'd sweep me off my feet
We'd waltz across the floor
Having the time of our lives
The bell will ring
The clock will chime
And at midnight I will flee
Without the slightest goodbye
And I'd love to sit and wonder
If he would come around
To find his "one true love"
And hope he remembers me
But that only works in fairytales
And the real me knows inside
That even if I cross his mind
He never would return.
He saw a hundred girls that night;
Who knows just what he thought
Right after I just up and left?
I doubt it was "I love her".
But little did I know
This boy was different from the rest
And in his heart he knew I'd doubt
The motive for his quest.
I must admit I was surprised
To see you at my door
I thought that after years had gone
I'd see you nevermore
But something in my heart told me
Just what you came to do
And I was both surprised and thrilled
To find that Prince Charming was you
