He's Afraid to Grow
He said it was time for him to sink;
Down to the bottom he went.
Did all he could think,
Said all that he meant.
Couldn't dwell on past events
The way my thoughts ferments,
Into something darker than what lays at the bottom of this sea.
Where life begins to slow for him and me.
Slow enough where you have to question if its still going,
Or whether its deep enough to hide,
To shy from the blood among us still flowing.
The blood that chills as it's dried.
He wants to escape from the top.
Run rather than stop.
So he'll let himself sink down.
Hoping that he'll eventually just drown.
