Imperfect lines connecting corner to corner
Black ink smeared across my sweaty palms
Eyes sore from staring at used stale paper
I begin.

I begin to see what I can make of this
What once was my school notes,
Now in progress to be my own masterpiece
I think wild, and let my hand do its own thing
My fingers grasped so tightly around my favorite pen.

I begin.
Curves and inky blots start to fill in the blank spaces.
I think yes, this fits here
And that fits there
I take a step back, let my eyes refocus.
I’ve gotten this far, why not keep going?

So I begin.
It’s not like I can possibly run out notes
Abstract lines form up and down the margin.
Past binomials and the Bill of Rights, till it reaches the last line
I begin.

I begin to add on the final touches
A combination of, it doesn’t matter
And, I actually think this might work.
My mind drawn messily on yesterday’s lessons
But ending up behind today’s new session.
