Black
Dark and ominous
A deep, deep void.
It creeps up very slowly,
Then overthrows us all at once. Smooth and silky,
rough and sharp.
A beautiful night
with a secretive side
it grabs and pulls on us,
in every possible way.
We are blind when it's near,
but we wouldn't be here without it.
As silent as a fox,
wrapping the moon in warm hugs.
And then,
the black darkness is too much, it's too overwhelming.
And into sleep I fall
from the black night sky above.

I was kind of dared to write a poem about black by someone in my class. They believed it wasn't possible to write a very good poem about it, I believe I proved them wrong.
