Girls that walk around as if they are goddesses
When they are only skeletons
Boys that make that seem like the norm
Because that is what they see on the internet
This is society
Society that leads you to believe
That you are not beautiful
Unless you are under 90 pounds
Girls that would rather wast their food than eat it
Just to be the perfect barbie girl
Even then you hear
You’re too skinny
You need to eat more
But still watch your weight you don't want to get to big
Girls even put into hospitals
For what society calls
… beautiful
But they won’t be cured
Not until society is cured
Society needs a major rethink
They need to realize that everyone is unique
That some girls can’t drop to that weight
Because they are built differently
Because they don’t want to
And when they don't
They are punished
Society says that they are ugly
That they are fat
That no person in their right mind
Would look at them twice because
They are different
They are weird
So what should a girl like me do
Ignore it
Live with it
Breath it in and accept it like a curse

A girl like me would stand up and scream
Scream that this is wrong
That girls like me shouldn’t have to live with
People looking down on them like that
Because that is cruel
In a world that is so against bullying
Why bully girls
Who can’t do what others can
So now I am standing up
No longer a bystander
I scream
Stop!
Stop with the ridiculous bulls***
That makes all girls believe that they are obese
Because being who you are is who you want to be
There is no better person than you
Because you are amazing
You are outstanding
You alone are you
So stand up

And we all should
Just be ourselves
No matter what anyone says
No matter that the magazines say
Or the tv shows
Or your own mother even
Just be you!
