Ethereal
You're ethereal, baby.
Sometimes I see the curve of your upper lip,
in the glass candy bowl that's cloudy with kids' fingerprints,
the flow of your hair
in the translucent curtains that shiver in the breeze,
the tinkling of your laughter,
in the wind chimes that tap each other,
the sweet mist of your breath,
in the steam that rises from my jasmine tea,
the glow of your cheeks in the setting sun that pierces my eyes
when I stare out the window.
You're ethereal, baby,
And I can't catch you.
