If Things Get Too Bad
It’s always, “If things get too bad you know who to call”
It’s always, “If things get too bad you don’t have to put up with it”
It’s always, “If things get too bad you have me”
It’s always, “If things get too bad”
But what about when things are just about as bad as they can get
Before I can make a phone call
Before I don’t have to put up with it anymore
Before I can have you
Before they get too bad, according to you
What is too bad, after all?
Things are bad enough for me to be miserable
To be so sad I can barely live anymore
But not too bad I can’t survive
Sometimes you have me waiting for the day things do get too bad
So I have someone to call
A right to not put up with it
You
An out
If things ever do get too bad, they won’t be so bad anymore
Because I’ll have more than I’ve ever had before
