The Love of Thespians
I look into your eyes
you broken boy
and I see wonder
perhaps in me
or maybe in the world
my friend says that our eyes are the same
so maybe mine are filled with
wonder
as well
and we are different from the rest
most of our time
together
is spent in
costume
in
character
and away from this
21st century grind
and we look into each others
eyes
and we see the broken people behind them
during that half hour before the
stage
while we parade about
by choice
in the rain
we are in isolation
and we both know how the other one
hates
isolation
but we can't break character
so
we embrace the rain as it
hits our faces
and hold the other ones
hand
backstage while the lights
flash
blindingly
before the audience
this time spent together in
character and in
costume
has never before felt so
real
until I was brought
here
looking into the eyes
of this broken boy

This is basically just a flashback to November of this year (2014). It's not my best
Enjoy it anyway.
