I feel like an animal,
Behind an iron bar,
I can only admire her beauty,
Perched from afar
Our love is very dark,
And only exists in the night,
When she dreams of better places,
And I am awake out of sight
But I know she longs for touch,
To feel my racing heart,
She cannot much contain it,
While the two of us are apart
One day I'll have my lover,
One day I'll leave my mark,
I'll no longer be so solemn,
Stalking in the dark
