To see an Empire be built
And Feel Time’s delicate quilt?

Should I dance with the flames
To melt away the chains
Watching the deceitful claims?

Should I play the notes in my head
To keep my heart beating
With veins full of lead.

Should I surrender to the pain
Like the war in my brain
Trying to keep ourselves sane?

I will sit up in bed
To cease the voices in my head
All the doubt unsaid.

I will draw the final card
To silence the ignorant bard
And to remove that emotional shard.
