Cancer
Unzip the land to discover the deepest part
A part that's melting and oozing with crimson golds
That are pumped to make the world go round
And the salty rivers to flow down and around
Sculpting new formations and sinking into established crevices
The land is a body for cells and organisms to thrive
A place they control
It plumps before it crushes into a hard, crisp element
That powers through mental and physical strides
Pummeling old and new testaments
Expected to crumble before they were understood
It was too late,
And the hard, crisp element
Was taken away
The testaments were redirected while confusion
Took the spotlight on an earthly stage
Meant for the sun
Zip the land to cover the deepest part
Cover the liquids before they spill out
They are needed to pump and glide and replenish
What is being destroyed within
A poison sparked from nowhere
The body spits on the land
Before anything can control
