Strong Barbie Dolls

She wakes up everyday
thinking theirs is the only way
and you,
you think shes okay
so you carve open her subconscious
like a Thanksgiving turkey.
She
looks quite decadent:
her stuffing,
her cranberries,
even her beans,
all look so delicious.
You then ask her
“aren’t the best dishes
supposed to be shared with the whole world?”
then she looks back at you,
and says,
with perfect diction,
“My darling, not every day can be Thanksgiving”.
