Love Bites
She is lovely
with daisy laughter
and eyes a color of blue so blue
I cannot explain to you.
She pulled me out
of deafening silence
drowning
I was saved.
Candles flickered in our minds
but we kept too many secrets.
The bruises look
harshly severed
but they don't throb unless you will them to.
I told her how you
retreated into green insanity
and she tried to fix me
but I am a lost cause
because you left
and you're the only one
who can change that.
