You can’t make a bracelet,
Using a jump ring whose ends refuse to connect.
No matter the force,
Not minding the pleading and tugging,
So ruined,
Never whole again.
Peacemakers working
On making ends meet.
An ant, a squirrel and a dog can pass away,
Before peace treaties get signed without debates.
The bracelet has aged,
Rust has formed,
No matter the scrubbing,
The past can’t be removed.
