Irrational Alligiance
Tears of blood drip down his cheek
he cannot stand up and salute.
His body trembles in fear of the years to come.
If he does not rise his blood will be at stake.
Stand up for what you love
for what you are told to love.
Believe in what you speak
what you are required to say.
Tears of salt run down her porcelain face
she cannot rise and salute.
Her body ceases in terror for fear of her loved ones.
If she does not rise it will cost her family.
Agree with the justice system
what you must agree with to remain free.
Listen to the leader's directions,
or they will bend your ears to do so.
Please stand to show that you trust the hands
molding you into the generation
they see fit.
Not the life you design.
