Dawn and Daybreak
Six am,
Rising light,
Out my window bright.
My eyes struggle.
Night is over.
Now, the smells of morning clover...
I will descend into dark.
As the world is waking,
Sun is breaking.
I have gone to sleep,
Entered the world all my own,
Alone.
And in my mind,
Light overtakes,
Does not forsake
I see
the sleeping girl
outside of me.
She is free.
