She must be shy
The people I see are like projections
I look at the people who call me a friend
They're clustered together
Never am I able to break into the circle
Never am I welcomed
Maybe I am the projection
Their voices echo over mine
my existence is drowned out by laughter
By inside jokes
By shared interests
Whoever crafted me forgot a few parts
Where is my voice
Where is my ability to join them
Where is my comfort
The world around me is drowned out with constant fear
Or is it them?
Do they not deem me high enough?
Do I seem lackadaisical?
For what reason I do not know, They do not give me the chance I want to believe I deserve
They do not get to know me past my shy smiles
They see me only as a projection
Their hands
Their words
Go right through me
I am not there
Not really
How much longer can I stand
while everyone else sits
