I Am Lost
Swept away by the wind,
out to the scenic blue.
We found a paradise,
during our hopeless drift.
An eternity of heat,
it smothers the senses in thick sheets.
Forgetting ourselves,
before the day is finished.
We let our wishes float away,
and tell ourselves it’s just another day.
This is a world of cold,
where time never stands still.
It is impossible, to ever find,
peace and quiet among this noise.
A world of noise,
where money is the sound.
Knowing that the sound will end,
brings chills to those with power in their hands.
At the end of the day when all is lost,
we find a way to piece together ourselves.
To carry on is tough,
once you get into the rough.
But courage can be brought forth,
from this dreaming world,
I believe we can still find our way,
and come out of this world okay.
