Warmth
And oh my god you were cold,
Every time I touched you,
Every time I held your hand,
It was like ice,
When you kissed me,
Your lips were the Arctic,
And your tongue was an iceberg.
But there for a second,
I thought you were warm.
That's when I realized it was me,
I warmed you with all I had,
Hoping you'd stay close.
When you cried I held you,
But when I cried it was because of you,
When you needed me, I was there.
But when I needed you, you were busy,
I let you take my warmth, because I loved you,
And I let it become yours,
Until I touched you and you were already warm.
