How Beautiful
How beautiful it is to be so happy,
Yet be so sad
I have found inspiration in lands I am unusual to
Through the tall pines and bushes
The prideful mountain tops
That is what makes me so happy
To be in this small town for only a short time
I love how intoxicating the sceneries can be
I am only here for such a short time
To excel at whatever it is that I choose
I don't even know what country to claim myself to
I move around so much since forever
Not adapting to one culture or another
I am legally Turkish
But I have no sense of culture
That is what makes me sad
I don't want to move from this place
I want to stay and grow into this place,
But I have to leave eventually
All my life has been whatever
I didn't care about moving so much
But here has sparked something different
But painfully I can't change my fate
So this will make leaving this place so bittersweet
I must, but oddly enough
My heart will stay
In this town of pines
Forever and always
How beautiful it is to feel like you are finally something
How beautiful it is to want to belong
I will always love this weirdly unique place
No matter how many times I move over and over again
This place has earned a spot big enough to call home

I'm a student technically from Turkey studying here in Idyllwild. Sadly it is only for a semester! It is a pretty town! I am happy and excited to be here though even if it is a short time!
