&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know what&rsquo;s worse: to not know what you are and be happy, or to become what you&rsquo;ve always wanted to be, and feel alone.&rdquo;<br /> ― Daniel Keyes, Flowers for Algernon

I yearn to grow strong and agile
I yearn to learn knowledge beyond my years and lead the lost
I yearn to have my world fall away in pain only to then be saved by a supernova of love
I yearn to help my enemies become something more than spiteful
I yearn for change while staying the same
I yearn for a challenge that will be proven far too easy in hindsight
I yearn to see my counterparts grow into wise old fools
I yearn to see my dreams come true and morph into something unexpected
I yearn to see people as they truly are and not as they appear to be
I yearn to dance with chaos
I yearn to understand why we hurt one another
I yearn to look my reader in the eye and tell them they matter
But what I yearn most for is an infinite ending to this grand tale known as life

This short poem comes from the overdramatic corner of my mind. Enjoy!
