Dagger of Betrayal
The dark sharp pain in my
Chest does not go away
It deepens, as if he has plunged
A dagger into my skin he looks at me
With sorrowful eyes as he whispers “I’m sorry~”
But I do not want to hear an apology
I do not want to
Hear anything from him
But he does not understand
He keeps trying to explain his actions
I do not want him to justify his betrayal
With every word that
Comes out of his mouth
The dagger of betrayal
Sinks deeper into my chest
I am drowning in a pool of
Regret all around me
He keeps apologizing.
The dagger pierces my heart
But he does not take
The dagger of betrayal back
The world around me
Starts to fade.
The last thing I see
Is the dagger of
Betrayal still buried
In my chest
