Rubber Bands
I loath the way
your eyes tear
up when you
yawn.
The way your
nose scrunches up
when you sneeze.
I despise the words
that are born
from your blush
lips and your
subtle tongue.
The words that
anchor me to
reality.
A reality of dirty
needles and pinching
rubber bands
and beautiful blue
eyes that roll back
into my skull
and forbid themselves
to see the light
of day.
