electric blue
i was the tree and you were the little monster the girls hate when they stroll in the school garden
you hid beneath my branches as you chomped my leaves like they could give you the power to grow wings
i gave you the shelter and the gown that you wore until you slept in my arms
you were so tired of the rumors and gossips and tales that i thought you would never wake up but you did
i promised to keep you in my hands forever, but you flew away after fourteen days
you left the nut-brown gown hanging because your wings were electric blue
