We were just kids
Sitting in class laughing at eachother's jokes.
You made me smile from ear to ear.
I thought I loved someone else.
You smiled and ate the chocolate he gave me for valentine's day.
I realized I didn't love him. I was scared and hurt.
You told me I was beautiful and asked me to dance, I couldn't.
You found someone. It didn't always worl, but you always tried.
I watched you from afar, but I always knew there was something there.
Even though we were just kids.
We found eachother for real 2 years after the first.
You brought out the happiest side of me, even when I wanted to die.
We were just kids but I felt what love was.
It was when we laughed till' we cried.
When we smiled while we kissed.
When we looked into eachother's hearts.
The moments we refused to miss.
You looked at me in the eyes and told me that you loved me,
but what did we know? We were just kids.
