Fears
I would not say that I fear oblivion,
Like Augustus Waters would say
I would not even say that I fear the world or even the obstacles that are yet to approach me.
What I really fear is me.
I do not know what I am capable of or
what I will be able to accomplish.
I do not know if I will reach the height that is set out for me
or even if I will cross the smallest checkpoint near the middle.
I do not know who or what I will become
and that’s what terrifies me the most.
