I am from the scorching, sweaty, summer days on Western Lakes and Nagawaukee,
to the chilly, frigid days wishing the snow would hold.
From the cluttered house, crammed with toys,
to the three-car garage that fits one
I am from the loving time of family during dinners and holidays
and to “Respect everyone because you never when they'll be gone.”

I am from filling my gas tank, excited and free,
to the blackened image of my burnt Jack’s pizza.
From the time my stomach dropped when I saw my Patriots come out at Super Bowl XLVI,
but also the empty stare when I looked at the scoreboard
I am from the tear-dripping time of passing out on fourth grade picture day
to Peanut, Mav, and Maz.

I am from moving again....and again...and again
but to the time that we found home in Hartland.
From the week-long trips to Miami to visit dad’s side,
to the weekend trips to Chicago visiting mom’s side
I am from Dad’s mouth-watering BBQ pork sandwich
right after the sun falls on a summer day.
