River
Just the way a river flows,
that’s how my life goes.
Drop a pebble in my stream
and it ripples everything.
Build a dam and bam,
just like that I stop.
Only a little bit slips through,
most is stopped by rocks.
But when the rain comes down,
I slowly find my way around.
Dripping and trickling,
down every path I find.
Until I find my resting place,
and that’s the grand design.
