Eraser Residue, Pencil Shavings, and Glitter
Today was just a really bad day
Everything seemed to get in my way
Everything brought back memories
Of a family like we used to be
Before
So I kinda had a little attitude
She asked if I had a good day at school
I lied
Always do
Really felt like cursing
Instead reverted to crying
Felt like I was dying
Can't say I wasn't trying
I was
Instead of doing what I used to do
I tried something new
Got out my black eraser and
Erased
Every memory, all my fears
My thousand tears
And the reason why
Til all that was left was residue
Got out my sparkly #2 pencil
Sharpened it til the point was knife-like
Sharpened it til eraser was left
Then I erased the pain
And mixed the residue with the shavings
Interesting
Finally, my heart felt better
Seemed some pieces were put together
Then as a last touch, I
Pulled off the glitter tube top
Showered glitter everywhere
In my ears, in my hair
It mixed beautifully with the pencil shavings and
Eraser residue
And then I cried
