It's As If MAG
soft palms
slender fingers
interlaced with mine
arms wrapped tight around me
holding me in
this seemingly infinite moment
(you’re so close it’s as if we’re all alone)
your breath
warm against my cheeks
rubbed raw by the frigid air
your hair
dampened by the rain
limp on your forehead
the color of carrots
and goldfish crackers
your smile
sweeter than spun sugar
more brilliant than
the sun
better than anything
in the world.
