In My Dresser
3 pink drawers with white handles
rest in a squat, matching dresser
Pull them all open, one by one
And see what’s made it messier
In drawer 1 are my blue lefty scissors
Made for lefties; they fit every job
Wigs and fabrics and papers galore
Even for cutting big glue globs
To the left among my rulers
Which keep me on edge
Is my rainbow collection of construction paper
That I can use till the end
Matches and pins in tiny compartments
Little containers, to each their own
To spark things up and pin them down
So I can use them to grow
The drawer below that one
Holds the clay I use for horns
Both big and small and curved and straight\
This is where creativity is born
