Reflection
His eyes seemed dark
Like there was nothing in them
Black holes
A bottomless pit
When they looked straight at me
Straight into me
It was if the darkness filled me
Eating my soul
From him to me
No emotion inside
Just emptiness
Perhaps his eyes were a reflection
Just a mirror of what I really was inside
Maybe deeper
I remember feeling angry
Upset maybe
His eyes spoke differently than his words
Maybe a cover
The mirror hides what's underneath
A flower hiding a bee in its pedals
A rose hiding its thorns behind grass
Maybe just my imagination
Either way
His eyes seemed dark
