I Long For a Day
I long for a day
When writer's block leaves
And the words flow easily
Onto the the page
As if they had been there
All along.
I long for a day
When everything is simple
And I can feel something
Without feeling everything else
All at the same time
In complete complexity.
I long for a day
When it stops raining outside
And the heavy feeling leaves
And I can laugh again
And jump around
Like I mean it.
I long for a day
When time finally continues
Even though it never stopped
And I can live with it
And not worry what
It might bring tomorrow.
I long for a day
When I stop needing to try
And my life settles into place
As the perfect fairytale
And everything
Is just perfect.
I long for the day
When I stop complaining
And I am bestowed
With satisfaction
Or in other words
Everything.
I long for a day
When my day comes for me
And I become what I should
And I acquire
The infamous and eye-opening
Adult wisdom.
I long for a day
When I stop needing more
And having more
To say and not being able
To say it even though
It's there.
I long for a day
When I stop longing for a day
When I stop longing
And aching and wondering
All about the utmost
Of nothing.
