Natural Disaster
A tsunami of feelings
And a hurricane of pain
The stab, the sting of ice in my heart
This tornado of memories
Is making me tremble like an earthquake
Cold sweats, a blizzard running down my face
And avalanche of frozen dreading
It burns in me like a fire
It’s flooding me and I can’t breathe
A geyser rushing with thoughts
It’s a snowstorm of “what if’s”
A thunderstorm, lightning striking me
The volcano that is my mind
Erupts with threats against itself
I try to speak but my throat is too dry
This drought has left me dehydrated
Life, in me, has left
But the sun will shine through
And the snow will melt
The seas will cam
And the earth will seize shaking
And everything will get better
Hydrated once more
Life flows through
My heart is beating, pumping blood
Happy memories of birds singing
Rainbows in the sky
No more grey clouds
The sun shone
Everything will get better
