I'm Good, But...
I’m good with the pen
But sometimes my mind and soul
Just won’t cooperate
And out comes these awkward sentences
A funny mix-match of words
That makes… not much sense,
Like a drunken person.
It just babbles out
As a fountain struggling to provide
Stumbling all over the place
My words can’t stand, stay in line
They’re all over the place, just too crooked
No! Go right! Go left!
Up! Down! They won’t follow commands
But then, when my heart and spirit agree
A smooth, graceful sound rings
It’s the delicate sound of the harp
Played by angels in a soft glow
Words dancing and flying on the page
All in harmony with each other
Then music then starts
A fragile balance in my choice of words
The weight of each carefully thought out
The previous cacophony eliminated
Replaced by a beautiful symphony
To the rhythm of one heart it goes
My heart beats to the melody of a strange tongue
The one you read between the lines
