Barefoot
A pretty young girl,
A little pair of feet
So sift and comfortable in the forest
But so clumsy
Oh, so awkward
Out in the great big city
The pain that comes with paved roads
And cement sidewalks
Those grey sharp rocks
But as she set foot in the forest
An energy fills her
The earth and a bed of dead leaves
Calling upon her for a nice stroll
Round little pebbles under her feet
Plants all around them
No one notices, no one knows
That she is always barefoot
