She Was A Star

The light died out of her eyes
When she heard the dreadful words
As a star burns out
And explodes through the sky
A flicker afar that none sighted
A river was now flowing
From her glistening eyes
She wanted to swim away
Fly away
She used to be a spring
So alive with life
But she died inside
When she heard the hated words
That broke her heart
